The cost-effectiveness and effects of a music-paced physical activity intervention on clinical outcomes and physical activity maintenance among post-cardiac rehabilitation patients with coronary heart disease
(1) to determine the effects of a MPPA intervention on the clinical parameters, health-related quality of life and PA maintenance of CHD patients at 3 and 6 months after a CR programme; (2) to determine the effects of a MPPA intervention can be sustained over a further one year follow-up period (i.e.15 month after the CR programme); and (3) to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of using MPPA on quality-adjusted life year gained over the entire study period.

After collecting baseline data, eligible participants will be randomly allocated to intervention or control group using a computer-generated random number sequence prepared by an independent statistician. The allocation will be kept in an opaque envelope and given to the participants according to their entry sequence.
